Kolber began her career in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. When she was working at WTVJ-TV Miami and WTVJ-TV Miami, she was awarded the Sports Emmy. She worked at WPLG-TV, Miami as well as WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. She began working for ESPN in 1993, and was one of the anchors of ESPN2 that was introduced. The station was her home for ESPN2 for three years, before resigning to join Fox Sports. In 1999, she was hired by ESPN for the show 'Monday Night Countdown.'
